Tropical Green Smoothie

If you are looking to get more greens in your diet, adding spinach to your smoothies is an excellent way to achieve this goal. Pineapple and mango add bursts of sweet flavor and these fruits are also high in antioxidants. In addition, both pineapple and ginger aid in digestive health. Toss in some avocado for a full-bodied creamy smoothie, along with healthy fat, fiber, potassium, and B vitamins.

Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach (or power greens)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1” knob of ginger, peeled (if you don’t have a high power blender, I recommend grating the ginger first to help with the texture.
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 rip avocado

Instructions

Step 1

In a large, high-power blender, add all ingredients and blend on for 1-2 minutes, or until well combined. Add more water as needed to achieve desired thickness. The more water you add, the more thin the smoothie will be, and the flavor will also become less strong.

To your health and happiness, Doctor Danielle
