Sunrise Immunity Smoothie

This is a delicious, nutritious and anti-inflammatory powerhouse of a smoothie. It is packed with beta-carotene, vitamin C, B vitamins, potassium and fiber. All of which are excellent for your immune system, digestion, heart health, and even supportive of your detoxification system. Start your morning with this sunrise immunity smoothie to get your digestive juices flowing and wake up your metabolism. I promise, your skin will thank you for adding this to your day.  

Ingredients 

  • 1 carrot, washed, peeled, and chopped into about 5 pieces
  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • 1 whole clementine, peeled, segmented
  • 1-inch knob fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 6 to 8 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder (or open up some of Dr. Danielle's Turmeric capsules)
  • ⅓ cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

Step 1 

In a large, high-power blender, add all ingredients and blend on for 1-2 minutes, or until well combined. Add more water as needed to achieve desired thickness. The more water you add, the more thin the smoothie will be, and the flavor will also become less strong.
