Introducing: Dr. Danielle’s Hair Nail Skin Formula

There’s no getting around it. Whenever you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, you can’t help but feel that you look different from how you used to. For one, those lines on your forehead. Were they so pronounced last week? And your hair. Why is it so limp, flat, and lifeless against your scalp? Plus, your nails! Once strong and shiny, but now flimsy, brittle, dull, and … curiously taking on a yellowish tinge.

These are natural consequences of the inevitable aging process. A part of you understands that. Still, that doesn’t mean you’re invulnerable to the onslaught of negative feelings—from sadness to frustration to helplessness to (sometimes) rage. Fortunately, Dr. Danielle’s Hair Nail Skin Formula offers you a quick, straightforward way to rid yourself of these unpleasant, burdensome emotions. How? By restoring radiance, bounce, suppleness, and optimal health to your hair, nails, and skin. Continue reading to find out more.

Dr. Danielle’s Hair Nail Skin Formula: promoting beauty from the inside-out

Nourishing, rejuvenating, and anti-aging, Dr. Danielle’s Hair Nail Skin Formula harnesses a powerful blend of five vitamins, minerals, extracts, and amino acids to improve and refine dry, brittle, lackluster hair, skin, and nails. Its primary starring ingredient is biotin, a water-soluble B-vitamin essential to healthy, shiny hair and strong nails. The addition of choline and rice phytoceramide extract shores up the natural protective barriers of your hair, skin, and nails, enhancing their ability to retain moisture. Finally, Hair Nail Skin Formula is infused with organic coconut water powder, adding a refreshing touch to your appearance.

Biotin

Hair Nail Skin Formula features a hefty dose of biotin (packing 5,000 mcg into one serving, to be exact) for a good reason. Biotin, also known as “vitamin H”, is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin that helps your body convert food into energy—energy your body needs to produce the following (1):

  • Keratin: A structural protein that helps form hair, nails, and your skin (2, 3).
  • Fatty acids: The outermost layer of your skin (i.e., the stratum corneum) looks like a brick wall (4, 5, 6). Your skin cells act like "bricks", while the "mortar" consists of sebum, ceramides, and fatty acids. The fatty acids in your skin do three crucial things. They minimize moisture loss, are antimicrobial, and are anti-inflammatory (7). Essentially, they help form an antibacterial, water-resistant barrier—keeping your skin smooth and hydrated.

Put simply: a lack of biotin translates into unhealthy hair, nails, and skin. Research is on the same page. Biotin deficiency is linked to skin rashes, brittle nails, hair thinning, and loss (8, 9). But wait. That doesn't mean supplementing with biotin would give you luscious hair, dewy-looking skin, and strong nails, right? Well, the evidence speaks for itself.

In this 2012 study, researchers randomly assigned women with self-perceived thinning hair to either receive a biotin-containing hair growth supplement or a placebo (10). After six months, the researchers found that those who received the biotin supplement reported a visible change in overall hair volume, scalp coverage, and thickness. On the other hand, women in the placebo group reported no significant changes.

Further, this study demonstrated a 25% increase in nail plate thickness in participants with brittle nails who received biotin supplementation (11). And as for skin health, plenty of studies document its repairing effects on troubled, problematic skin (e.g., atopic dermatitis and acne) (12, 13).

Choline (as choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid)

Choline is an organic, water-soluble nutrient. And just like biotin, choline plays a similar role in the metabolism of food for energy, meaning it benefits your hair, skin, and nails in pretty much the same way as the former (14). That's why we formulated Dr. Danielle’s Hair Nail Skin Formula with 100 mg of choline—to complement and amplify biotin’s reinvigorating effects.

Um, wait. Read the header again. The ingredient’s not just simply “choline”, though. It’s “choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid” (CS-OSA for short). What’s that? Well, CS-OSA is a concentrated and stable complex of choline and orthosilicic acid. So you already know what choline is and what it does—but what about orthosilicic acid? Despite its outward complexity, orthosilicic acid is simply the predominant form of bioavailable silicon (15). And as for why you’d want silicon, it comes down to the fact that it stimulates collagen production in your body (16).

For the uninitiated, collagen is the main structural protein found in your skin. In other words, it’s responsible for giving your skin firmness, elasticity, and strength (17, 18, 19, 20). This, in turn, explains why research shows CS-OSA to improve hair, skin, and nail health. Take this study, for instance (21). The researchers randomly assigned participants to either receive a CS-OSA supplement or a placebo. After 20 weeks, it was observed that those who’d received the CS-OSA supplement experienced a significant improvement in skin firmness and elasticity, plus skin and hair brittleness.

Rice phytoceramide extract

Remember what we said about ceramides in the skin? Yep, like fatty acids, ceramides are key lipids naturally present in the outermost layer of your skin. They help make up the barrier between the outside environment and your body—locking in crucial moisture and protecting your skin from damage.

With that in mind, you probably understand the rationale behind incorporating 75 mg of rice phytoceramide extract (i.e., ceramides extracted from rice) into Hair Nail Skin Formula: it’s key to achieving smooth, glowing skin. That’s not just our opinion, either. There’s plenty of research to back it up (22). According to this study, participants with clinically dry skin who took a phytoceramide extract oil for three months saw up to a 35% improvement in skin hydration, ironing out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (23). Other studies have also shown phytoceramide supplementation improves skin smoothness and elasticity in mere weeks (24).

Organic coconut water powder

Unfortunately, it’s not just the natural aging process causing a deterioration in your hair, skin, and nail health—but also free radicals, through a process known as oxidative damage (25, 26, 27, 28).

Feeling lost? Don't worry. Let's go back to the beginning; free radicals are nanoparticles (that means they’re super tiny!) that have unpaired electrons, making them chemically unstable (29). Your body produces them when exposed to UV rays, pollution, artificial blue light, etc. And because they’re unstable, they’re constantly on the hunt for other electrons—so they snatch them from other atoms, including the ones in your skin and hair cells. So, by stealing electrons from your body’s cells, these free radicals accelerate the aging process.

But there's good news which comes in the form of organic coconut water powder. A good source of antioxidants (e.g., vitamin C and kinetin), coconut water protects your skin and hair cells from oxidative damage by offering up electrons to satisfy free radicals’ needs (30, 31, 32).

Frequently asked questions

Dr. Danielle Hair, Skin, and Nails

Still have questions? Good, because we have answers.

When should I take Hair Nail Skin Formula?

Any supplement works best when you take it consistently. So, we'd advise you to take Hair Nail Skin Formula whenever it’s easy and convenient for you.

How long till it works?

Provided you’re consistent with supplementation, most studies suggest that you’ll start noticing improvements in your hair, skin, and nail health within two to three months.

Can I take it with a multivitamin?

The main concern with “stacking” supplements together is you run the risk of overdosing on certain vitamins and minerals. Luckily, that won’t be a concern with Hair Nail Skin Formula. That’s because it only contains water-soluble vitamins and minerals; your body will simply excrete any excess amounts. That said, it's always a good idea to consult your primary healthcare provider before starting any new supplement.

Is it safe for kids and pregnant or nursing women?

Hair Nail Skin Formula has not been tested for safety in the populations mentioned above. Do consult a healthcare professional if you’re unsure of its suitability for you.
