Juicing Delights 

I personally use a Breville juicer but there are so many options out there that will accomplish the job. Juicing is a great way to eat all your fruits and vegetables and give your body the nutrients it needs. Whenever possible, buy organic to reduce the toxic load and exposure to harsh chemicals and pesticides so widely used in our food industry. In addition, always aim for at least a 3:1 (vegetable:fruit) ratio to balance the sugar content of your juices and smoothies. 

 

New to juicing or a juicing warrior? You’ve got this! Here are a few of my favorite juice blends. 

 

Purple Pear (2 servings, ∼16-20oz): 

*This one is kind of fun and resembles a prickly pear margarita.

  • 2 pears
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 head purple cabbage
  • 1" ginger root (peeled) 
  1. Wash all ingredients.
  2. Juice and enjoy! 

 

Carrot Kick (2 servings, ∼16-20oz):

 *This one can have a bit of a kick to it, so if you are sensitive to hot/spicy foods, add less spice. If you crave the heat, feel free to add more. Make it your own. 

  • 2 naval oranges (peeled)
  • 6 carrots
  • 1/2 Tbsp. turmeric powder (or open a few Dr. Danielle turmeric capsules into your juice)
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  1. Wash oranges and carrots.
  2. Juice ingredients.
  3. Add spices and stir into juice. 

 

Green Zest (2 servings, ∼16-20oz):

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 1” ginger root (peeled)
  1. Wash all ingredients.
  2. Juice and enjoy!


 Beet Lovers Delight (2 servings, ∼16-20oz):

  • 2 navel oranges (peeled)
  • 1 red beet (don’t be afraid to use the attached greens)
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  1. Wash all the ingredients.
  2. Juice and enjoy. 


Orange Breeze (2 servings, ∼16-20oz):

  • 4 carrots
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1” ginger root (peeled)
  • 2 naval oranges (peeled)
  1. Wash all ingredients.
  2. juice and serve.

 

Crimson Spice (2 servings, ∼16-20oz):

  • 4 small or 2 large apples
  • 1” ginger root (peeled)
  • 1 red beet
  • 1 carrot
  1. Wash all ingredients.
  2. Juice.

 

Nutritive Goodness (4 servings, ∼35oz):

  • 2 zucchinis 
  • 1” ginger root (peeled)
  • 2 apples
  • 1 golden beet
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 carrots
  1. Wash all ingredients.
  2. Juice and enjoy!
