Ingredients
Glutamine
L-Glutamine is the body’s most plentiful free-form amino acid and is central in sustaining gastrointestinal function. Glutamine is a significant carrier of nitrogen within the body, which is essential in cellular healing. Even though glutamine can be manufactured by the intestinal mucosa, during periods of physical stress the body may not produce enough of this on its own. The deficit of glutamine can result in epithelial atrophy, necrosis, and ulceration of the gut. Glutamine and intestinal barrier function. (1), (2)
Arabinogalactan
Arabinogalactan is a polysaccharide that gives fermentable fiber to GutAssist and it also offers immuno-stimulatory benefits. It supports gut microflora production, helps produce short chain fatty acids, and reduces ammonia synthesis and absorption. (3)
Licorice Root Extract 10:1 (deglycyrrhized)
Our licorice root has been treated to remove glycyrrhizin, which successfully reduces the risk of unwanted licorice-related complications. Licorice root offers both anti-inflammatory and relaxing properties. Deglycyrrhized licorice has shown to reduce the negative effects of Aspirin-induced mucosal damage. (4)
Aloe Leaf Extract (standardized to 50% polysaccharides)
Aloe vera is an ancient remedy that helps support the healing of epithelial tissue, in particular that of the gastrointestinal tract. The bitter elements have been removed from the aloe in GutAssist, and therefore the laxative effects have been removed. (5), (6), (7)
FAQ
- How does GutAssist work for leaky gut?
GutAssist supports the healing of the body’s protective membranes along the GI tract, giving these membranes nutrients like L-Glutamine to thrive and heal.
- What exactly is Leaky Gut?
Leaky gut is a condition involving increased intestinal permeability. This digestive condition allows bacteria and toxins to "leak" through the intestinal wall. This can cause pervasive inflammation and conceivably trigger a reaction from the body’s immune system.
- Who should take GutAssist?
Anybody who cares about the health of their gut and GI tract. GutAssist is a holistic supplement that helps strengthen the GI tract from everyday exposure to stressors, pollutants, and contaminants.
- Does the aloe vera have a laxative effect?

- Should I take GutAssist if I am pregnant?
As with any dietary supplement, it is important to ask your doctor or healthcare provider prior.
